Music of the Night
I need say no more. This truly chills me...beautiful scenery, beautiful song, touching in every way to me (in a sick dysfunctional love story sorta way..LOL). I just love the lyrics and how she is drawn to him, even though she probably shouldn't be. I could do a whole thesis on the layers in this song, and movie. Perhaps another e-day. :)

Laura Comes Home
Finally, Genie Francis is reprising her role of Laura Spencer on GH. I am SO excited for this. I loved her all too brief return in 2006. There is genuine chemistry with Genie and Tony Geary, and I just get chills thinking of this. She is staying until October this time, so I hope the story does due justice.
Welcome home Laura Spencer (and Genie Francis)

Past the Point of No Return
Because I NEED to feel this hotness today...wow, is it hot in here or just the Phantom (Gerry Butler) and Christine? Ha...

Every family has it's issues....
...on the next Night Shift, three familes will be forced to deal with them." Or so says this latest Night Shift promo first airing August 12, 2008.
I am really loving this season of Night Shift. Not only have they brought back Robert Scorpio and have been honoring GH's storied past, but they are giving Robin and Patrick some real "couple" time.
And it is good to see Jagger and his son, young Stone. It is also interesting to see how they are dealing with Stone's autism. I truly hope the writers explore Autism Spectrum Disorder in the proper and educated manner with which it deserves. Same with Robin's HIV status. This show can be a bonafide tool in helping get the word out to the masses on both of these conditions. I look forward to the remaining nine episodes, and the birth of the newest Drake-io female baby! :)

"Mamma Mia....
....here I go again. My, my, how can I resist ya?"
At first, the sound of Pierce Brosnan singing really hurt my ears. It just didn't seem to "fit" with his macho image as James Bond. When he went into "SOS", I did hear the audience kinda chuckle. The second time, I just sat back and enjoyed what I saw and heard before me. I know I really want to go to Greece sometime as that blue water sparkled like none I have ever seen! Breathtaking....and Meryl Streep, she did a great job as Donna Sheridan. She really did. When she belted out "The Winner Takes It All", it really went straight to my heart. Her sidekicks, Christina Baranski as Tania and Julie Walters as Rosie, were equally fun to watch. And the girl playing Sophie was really a talent to behold.
And to celebrate with my "girls", was a truly awesome experience! The ex-mother-in-law of my friend, Chris, went with us, and she was SO happy to be out of the house and just loved the experience. She commented to me how I must really love life with all I get out and experience. Maybe I rubbed off on her a little bit to go out there and LIVE some more. Who knows? I am sure we will do some more fun girls staycations in the near future. It was a delightful afternoon all around.
In this world of dark, sometimes you just need some light. Mamma Mia is that for me right now. I know I will get around to see "The Dark Knight" eventually, but right now I just wanna sing and dance and celebrate life with a little Abba. Too bad I didn't know how good they are when I was growing up.
It's all good. Now where is my soundtrack from the original live show again? I MUST find it...to help me through my work day.... ABBA makes the work day go around..or a little lighter anyway. :)

Yes I went and saw Mamma Mia, the movie, again! It's only my second time. And I have only seen the stage show twice. And I loved it even more the second time! I have a special fondness for movie musicals (2004's Phantom of the Opera is my all-time fave as I saw it a record, for me, 24 times on the big screen; and I saw Hairspray three times last year, and I think Rent a couple of times. Plus I have all the DVDs of those movies, and have seen POTO even more times than I can count in that format). But I digress....oh yeah, did I mention my previous personal record was 13 times at the theater for Rick Springfield's "Hard to Hold?" Hey, it's my taste and I dig it! LOL.

Girl's Getaways
Later today, I am going on a "girl's getaway." Not that kind where one stays overnight (I love those from time to time as well), but going to dinner and a movie with dear friends with estrogen. One is my best friend from high school, Lorri, whom I have seriously known more of my life than not. WAY longer...we are going to take the Frontrunner commuter rail into either Salt Lake City or Ogden, out for a fine meal, and to see a movie (Mamma Mia, which I have wanted to see again).
Should be fun! So much for just "being" this weekend. Well, I can do that two weekends from now. Ha...it's nice to have great friends and family to spend time with! I am blesseed....

Testing the Blog E-Waters
So I kinda promised myself I'd NOT do the blog thing. I found I am best with being private, but it is kinda fun to learn new things, and this Blog stuff is all new to me. So here I am testing these waters. Hmm...my toe is in and it's not too bad. We will have to see how it goes!
:)
Have a great weekend everyone!
